Pretoria East Toastmasters Club runs workshops through schools to provide Youth Leadership Programmes. This is a 6 – 8 session course for youngsters under the age of 18 which enables them to develop their public speaking and leadership skills through practical experience. The format is that of a normal Toastmasters meeting with an announced agenda, parliamentary procedure, prepared and impromptu speeches and the selection of presiding officers. A modest fee is charged and sessions are held after school. We recommend groups of between 10 and 20 pupils.
